Everyone's born with assets and liabilities - everyone got dealt a different set of ‘nature and nurture’ cards. Health, gender, race, athleticism, looks, iq, intro/extrovert, a safe home, good parents or bad parents or no parents, etc. That deck of cards shaped you and taught you. It shitty that some people’s starting blocks are so far behind others. The world has never been fair.

But now you gotta take stock in what you were given and what you’ve learned and do your best.  Fortunately you were dealt an ace because you have US citizenship - you live in a stable economy where we all have access to a level of opportunity that billions of others do not. Everyday good people risk their lives to get to the US (or EU).  Don’t take it for granted.

Opportunities are everywhere, really. I encourage you to overcome the self-doubt that all of us carry and go get yours.
