Again, follow the money
/On the fact that all you need is regular exercise and a balanced diet:
Everyone wants to sell you the latest get-well now thingy. Some dorky/modern home exercise equipment (no Pelaton for me), vitamin supplements/pills, incessant diet fads/programs (paleo, keto, cleanses, organic/GMO, Atkins, low-fat…), low testosterone/estrogen clinics, orange theory/crossfit club memberships etc etc etc.
Exercise: Why do you think you don't hear that all you need to do is like some pushups, situps, and go for a run. Because no business can make any money telling people that.
Diet: Why do you think you don't hear magazines/podcasts say - just follow the now 75 year old food pyramid which nutritionally works very well? Because that doesn't sell magazines/ad space.
Anyway, just another example of how "follow the money" gets in the way of a simple lifestyle.
