/It's easy to have periods where you're lazy or out of shape (vacations, etc). The important part is to get back on the horse, even if there's just minimal exercise. Never stop moving.
Did you know that placebos actually work surprisingly often. Even in terminal cases.
Ever noticed that sometimes when you're hungry, you're actually just thirsty for water.
Vitamin C and D in the winter. Like eat a little orange everyday Nov-March so you don't catch the colds.
Vitamin D, like C, is important. But it's free - sunshine. You should expose you arms and/or legs to sunshine everyday if possible. However, always shade/sunblock your face. Also, unless you are south of say Miami, the sun is not high enough in the sky between November and February to generate vitamin D in your body (so no sense in exposing your arms/legs - you’ll just get cold). If your shadow is taller than you, the suns strength is probably not enough to be beneficial. So in winter you should take Vitamin D supplements which, btw, has been proven to help against covid too!
As a general rule, the more processed the food, the less good it is for you. That said, most food science gets overblown/demonized. For instance, there is no scientific proof that GMOs are bad for you. And most of the unpronounceables aren’t bad for you either (MSG, as an example, has been used in Asia for over one hundred years and its widely considered perfectly safe). But, we do know that transfat (hydrogenated oils) do in fact clog arteries. So, I guess watch out but don’t freak out either.
Staying healthy has a lot to do with habits that will stick with you your whole life. Best to form good ones now.
